Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse (RN) is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team ensuring high-quality, safe patient care for patients, families, and significant others.
• Practice occurs in a clinical environment supported by Nurse Managers and leadership, guided by the WellStar Shared Governance Model.
• The practice framework is based on the WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing, and evidence-based research.
• All RN Clinical Nurses must be licensed, knowledgeable, and adhere to the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, Scope of Practice, and ANA Code of Ethics.
• Uphold the voice of the patient, system policies, and support service excellence as part of the patient services team.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification

• Current RN license in Georgia or practice privilege under eNLC.
• Current BLS card from the American Heart Association on first day.

Preferred Experience

• National certification in specialty area preferred.

Minimum Experience

• Experience in direct patient care.
