Registered Nurse (RN)- Acute Care- Cardiac/Renal/Telemetry MEd Surg PRN 7a-7p

This job involves working in a 28-bed Cardiac/Renal/Telemetry unit at Paulding Hospital. The position is PRN, requiring a commitment of 3 shifts per 28 days, including one weekend, with a strong foundation in relevant patient care. Applicants must have at least one year of recent RN experience as per PRN agreement.

The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, safe patient care. The role is supported by the Wellstar Shared Governance Model and guided by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, emphasizing evidence-based practice and research. RNs are expected to uphold the standards outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association.

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on evidence-based practice.
  • Provide patient-centered care tailored to individual and cultural needs.
  • Partner with patients and families, ensuring effective communication and involvement in care planning.
  • Maintain current clinical standards and promote teamwork and collaboration.
Professional Development
  • Complete required competencies and education.
  • Serve as preceptor or mentor to foster a qualified workforce.
Evidence-Based Practice
  • Promote research and quality improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
