Advocate Christ Medical Center’s 9 South Cardiac Telemetry Unit is a 44-bed unit focused on cardiovascular care. As an RN on this team, you will provide and coordinate patient care using the nursing process, delivering safe, evidence-based care in a high-acuity telemetry setting.

The role supports a 3-4:1 patient ratio with ongoing monitoring and rapid intervention, with a schedule of 7a-7p and weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.

The 9 South Cardiac Telemetry Unit is a specialized 44-bed department dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with cardiovascular conditions. We care for individuals experiencing heart rhythm abnormalities, blood pressure irregularities, chest pain, and those recovering from cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and ablations.

With a 3-4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, our team ensures personalized attention and continuous cardiac monitoring using advanced telemetry technology. Nurses in this department play a critical role in early detection of cardiac changes, rapid intervention, and patient education to promote recovery and prevent complications.

Our staffing model is designed to support excellence in care and professional growth, including:

• Registered Nurses (RNs) providing direct patient care
• Nursing Assistants supporting daily patient needs
• RN Leads offering clinical leadership and guidance
• Nursing Professional Development Specialist fostering education and competency
• Unit Manager ensuring operational efficiency and team support

We' re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
