Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Trauma Surgery unit in Winston-Salem, NC. The 25-bed adult Med Surg/Trauma Surgery unit delivers high-quality care to patients with traumatic injuries and those needing emergency general surgery.

The role requires a nursing program graduate with an active RN license and BLS certification, typically 1 year of clinical experience, and BSN preferred. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing-approved nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific based on practice location).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Additional certifications or experience may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Ensure safe, effective, compassionate treatment aligned with clinical standards.
• Apply evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes and safety across the care continuum.

Where You'll Work

This high-acuity 25-bed adult Med Surg and Trauma Surgery unit provides high-quality, evidence-based nursing care for patients who have experienced traumatic injuries. The team also cares for patients requiring emergency general (abdominal) surgery.

Specialties include Trauma, Emergency General Surgery (EGS), and Orthopedic Surgery. Join a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients and the community.

We're Looking For

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing-approved nursing program
• Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific based on practice location)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience
• Additional certifications or experience may be required based on specialty

Preferred:
