Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Trauma Surgery unit. This high-acuity 25-bed unit provides evidence-based care for traumatic injuries and emergency general surgery patients.

You will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, apply clinical judgment, and uphold safety standards in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific based on practice location).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Additional certifications or experience may be required based on specialty.

• Provide and coordinate patient-centered care using the nursing process, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate treatment aligned with clinical standards.
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical judgment to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and overall experience across the care continuum.

Where You’ll Work

This high-acuity 25-bed adult Med Surg and Trauma Surgery unit provides high-quality, evidence-based nursing care for patients who have experienced traumatic injuries. The team also cares for patients requiring emergency general (abdominal) surgery.

Specialties include Trauma, Emergency General Surgery (EGS), and Orthopedic Surgery. Join a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients and the community.

We’re Looking For

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program
