Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a registered nurse to provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care and safety.

You will supervise teammates, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, participate in governance, and contribute to care coordination and education. A ADN or higher and SC RN licensure are required, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold SC RN license or a compact state license.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Direct and lead assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver age-appropriate care.
• Ensure patient/family centered care focusing on physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental needs.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment with privacy and professional conduct.
• Participate in shared governance and professional development to promote leadership and clinical excellence.
• Coordinate care delivery and identify priorities to improve patient outcomes.
