Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care on the MedSurg floor. You will lead assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing care using the nursing process.

The role requires SC RN licensure, a minimum of one year of RN experience, and an active BLS certification. Schedule is 36 hours weekly with 7a–7p shifts and every other weekend; no on-call obligation.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required
• Minimum of one year of RN inpatient experience
• SC Board of Nursing licensure or compact state license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Direct and lead other team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Coordinate care, health teaching, and promotion in alignment with MUSC policies
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, and professional conduct
• Participate in professional practice model, governance, peer review, and ongoing development
• Apply care management principles to prioritize clinical needs and improve outcomes
