Job summary

MedStar Health in Washington, DC is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the 2E Neuro-Surgical/ENT unit. You will provide skilled, compassionate care to a diverse patient population, from routine to highly complex cases, and coordinate with the nursing team to plan and implement care.

You will assess evolving conditions, identify health concerns, and develop individualized care plans while participating in a Comprehensive Stroke Center. This on-site role offers strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active DC RN License and BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.

We are an integral part of the Comprehensive Stroke Center here at MWHC. We were the first hospital in D.C. to achieve designation as a Comprehensive Stroke center! Our unit proudly manages complex neurological patients and the Tenecteplase (TNK) patient population

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.
