Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Rocky Mount is offering an internal 13-week RN assignment at $60 per hour. The RN will deliver and supervise patient care, coordinate interdisciplinary plans, and support discharge planning for inpatients. ACLS required for Charge Nurse duties, with BLS and state licensure in good standing.

One year of inpatient med-surgical experience is preferred but not required; growth opportunities and flexible scheduling are noted in the site benefits.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment; ACLS required for Charge Nurses.
• One year inpatient med-surgical experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise patient care using the nursing process.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning.
• Teach patients and families for post-hospitalization and access community resources.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
