The trauma acute care unit provides specialized nursing care to patients recovering from traumatic injuries and acute surgical conditions. As part of the region's only Level I Trauma Center, our team collaborates closely with the Surgical Trauma Service and multidisciplinary care teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care throughout the recovery journey.
Where You Will Work. The trauma acute care unit provides specialized nursing care to patients recovering from traumatic injuries and acute surgical conditions. As part of the region's only Level I Trauma Center, our team collaborates closely with the Surgical Trauma Service and multidisciplinary care teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care throughout the recovery journey.
Patients on this unit may include individuals recovering from a wide range of blunt and penetrating traumatic injuries, including orthopedic, thoracic, abdominal, and other trauma-related conditions requiring acute inpatient care. Nurses on this unit develop strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills while caring for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.
