Job summary

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an experienced RN for the trauma acute care unit. As part of the region's only Level I Trauma Center, you will collaborate with the Surgical Trauma Service and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care throughout the recovery journey.

On this unit, you will care for patients with a wide range of traumatic injuries, develop strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment,

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• 6 months of RN experience

Where You Will Work. The trauma acute care unit provides specialized nursing care to patients recovering from traumatic injuries and acute surgical conditions. As part of the region's only Level I Trauma Center, our team collaborates closely with the Surgical Trauma Service and multidisciplinary care teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care throughout the recovery journey.

Patients on this unit may include individuals recovering from a wide range of blunt and penetrating traumatic injuries, including orthopedic, thoracic, abdominal, and other trauma-related conditions requiring acute inpatient care. Nurses on this unit develop strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills while caring for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

What You’ll Do

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
