Job summary

Majestic Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Goshen, IN to join our care team and lead nursing services on an assigned unit. You will supervise CNAs, administer medications, document resident conditions, and implement physicians' orders under nursing management.

The role emphasizes skilled nursing care, teamwork, and adherence to state regulations. A valid RN license and accreditation are required; CPR is preferred. Majestic Care offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• RN license active and in good standing as required by state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments as directed by physicians.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with tests and procedures within the Nursing Practice Act.
• Coordinate nursing care when residents are scheduled for therapy or procedures.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Supervise CNAs to ensure high-quality care.

Position Overview

Majestic Care RNs render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred but not required.
