Job summary
Signature HealthCARE is seeking an experienced RN to join our Kinston team. You will deliver direct nursing care, supervise CNAs, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality, person-directed care for residents.
Responsibilities include medication administration, ADL support, care planning, and accurate documentation in our EHR system. Two strong references and LTC experience are preferred. Competitive benefits and sign-on options available.
Qualifications
- Must have current active RN license in state of practice.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
- Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and Microsoft Office.

- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
- Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the assigned shift in accordance with facility policies and regulations, as applicable.
- Monitor and observe residents’ physical and emotional status; notify the attending physician and responsible party of any change in condition.
- Develop, implement, and review individualized resident care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per facility policy and procedure.
- Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges according to established procedures.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.
