Capitol Home Health seeks a Registered Nurse to plan, organize and direct home care services across Central Texas, serving the Austin Metro area and surrounding counties. The RN will leverage community resources to meet the needs of individuals and families in their homes and communities.

The role emphasizes nursing fundamentals with experience in home health and acute care, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate care with diverse teams.

Competenze

• RN with current and unencumbered license to practice nursing in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program preferred.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience in an institutional setting.
• 1 year of home health care experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience of LVNs and Nurse Aides/Assistants preferred.
• CPR certification with in-person skills evaluation required.
• Working knowledge of OASIS documentation preferred.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills; basic math skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse is experienced in nursing, with emphasis on community health education/experience. The RN is responsible for planning, organizing and directing home care services. The professional RN builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individuals and families within their homes and communities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current and unencumbered license to practice professional nursing in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program, preferred.
• One (1) to two (2) years of recent acute care experience in an institutional setting.
• One (1) year of home health care experience, preferred.
• Management experience not required, but direct supervisory experience of Licensed Vocational Nurses and Nurse Aides/Assistants, preferred.
• Possess and maintain valid CPR certification. Must have obtained in-person with a practical skills evaluation as part of the final test.
• Working knowledge of OASIS documentation requirements, preferred.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.
• Access to reliable transportation.
