Sun Health's Grandview Terrace in Sun City West, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a big-hearted team. This part-time, non-exempt role features a morning shift schedule (AM) with 2 days per week, and requires current AZ RN licensure and a commitment to high nursing ethics and patient care.

You will coordinate care, administer medications, supervise CNAs, and ensure adherence to facility policies, state and federal regulations, and the Sun Health Mission and Values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing (required).
• Currently licensed in the State of Arizona (required).
• Possess Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (required).

Responsabilités

• Assigns and directs the work of Certified Nursing Assistants on their shifts and assists with annual performance evaluations.
• Has responsibility and authority for discipline of CNAs.
• May suspend or send home an employee in cases of severe disciplinary problems; carries out physicians' orders timely.
• Organizes evaluation of resident condition and notifies physicians and family of changes.
• Coordinates resident care with Dietary and diagnostic or therapeutic services.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered; monitors for adverse reactions and follows up.
• Maintains unit records per facility policy; documents in charts and manages medications.
• Assists in orientation of new employees and participates in evaluating new staff.
• In resident discharge or transfer cases, arranges and completes appropriate paperwork.
• Charge Nurse acts as Administrator in absence of Administrator and Director of Nursing Services.
• Updates and participates in Resident Care Plans.
• Demonstrates Sun Health Mission and Values.

Schedule: AM, 2 days/week

Key Responsibilities:

• Assigns and directs the work of Certified Nursing Assistants on their respective shifts and assists with the annual performance evaluation of nursing personnel.
• Has the responsibility and authority of discipline of Certified Nursing Assistants.
• In cases of severe disciplinary problems, may suspend or send home an employee if so indicated. Records and is responsible for carrying out physicians' orders in a timely manner.
• Responsible to organize evaluation of resident condition. Notifies physicians, Director of Nursing Services, and family member of any changes in condition.
• Coordinates residents care with Dietary and/or any diagnostic or therapeutic services.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician; and evaluates the effectiveness of such. Aware of and watching for adverse reactions and give the proper follow-up.
• Maintains unit records in accordance with facility policy. This includes, but is not limited to, documentation in charts, maintenance of drugs (controlled and uncontrolled).
• In some instances will assist in orientation of new employees and be responsible for input in the evaluation of the new employee.
• In the event of resident discharge or transfer, make necessary arrangements and is responsible that appropriate paperwork is done.
• Charge Nurse becomes the Acting Administrator in the absence of the Administrator and the Director of Nursing Services.
• Updates and participates in Resident Care Plans.
• Demonstrate the Sun Health Mission and Values.

Your Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing. (required)
• Currently licensed in the State of Arizona. (required)
• Possess current or has the ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
