Job summary

Sun Health Corporation seeks a PRN Certified Caregiver for Grandview Terrace in Sun City, AZ. You will provide supervisory and personal care, companionship, and safe non-medical support to assisted living residents in a compassionate, compliant environment.

Responsibilities include vital signs, activities, dining assistance, daily notes, and medication reminders. Requires caregiver training, background clearance, CPR/First Aid, and AZ Food Handlers Card; competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Caregiver Training Program completion (NCIA board) including ALTP hours.
• Current Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• AZ Food Handlers Card.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Provide companionship and safe non-medical care.
• Perform routine tasks with minimal supervision.
• Take vital signs.
• Assist with walking and light exercise.
• Assist with dining and meal service; ensure clean dining area.
• Make beds, change linens, and perform light laundry.
• Light housekeeping including dusting, vacuuming, and trash disposal.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Encourage resident engagement in activities.
• Record care notes and maintain daily observations in EMR.
• Follow the service plan and support resident independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet all residents and visitors to the facility in a friendly, cheerful and professional manner.
• Provide companionship and safe non-medical care to residents.
• Perform routine tasks little to no supervision.
• Take vital signs
• Assist with walking and light exercise.
• Perform dining assistance to include serving, distributing meal trays, encourage consuming food/fluids, and clean up of meal area/items.
• Make beds, change linens, laundry and ironing, as needed.
• Light housekeeping to include dusting, vacuuming and removing garbage.
• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Engage in physical and mental exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and medication management with proper documentation.
• Assist with calendar reminders and distribution of mail.
• Encourage participation when implementing activities on the activity calendar.
• Follow the written service plan and suggest techniques to maintain or improve resident independence.
• Ensure resident safety and security by supervising the home environment.
• Ability to record daily care notes; complete and maintain daily activities and observations within electronic medical record system.
• Demonstrate the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provides all customers/audience with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating Sun Health behaviors (the 6 Cs) each and every day.

Your Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificate of Completion of Caregiver Training Program approved by NCIA board to include ALTP number with supervisory, personal and directed hours.
• Current or able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Current Adult CPR and First Aide Card.
• Current AZ Food Handlers Card

Shift Differential of $2.25 increase in hourly wage from M-F 6pm to 6am & Friday 6pm - Monday 6am**
