Individual Health & Assessment: Monitor health conditions, track vital signs, assess skin/pain status, and immediately handle emergency medical situations.
Medication & Specialized Care: Administer medications, oversee self-medication protocols, and perform specialized nursing procedures (e.g., wound care, G-tube/ostomy maintenance, tracheotomy care).
Appointment Coordination: Schedule, transport, and accompany individuals to medical/dental appointments while managing medical histories in Therap.
Staff Training & Support: Conduct health orientations, certify direct support staff in self-medication procedures, and perform regular fidelity checks.
On-Call & Scheduling: Participate in on-call rotations and maintain flexible scheduling based on individual needs.
Education & License: Active, unencumbered Utah RN License (Degree from an accredited school of nursing).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (experience with developmental disabilities preferred).
Certifications: CPR/First Aid certified (IV certification preferred).
Age & Driving Requirements: Must be 18+ years old (21+ with a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance if driving for company business).
Clearances: Must pass a criminal background check/fingerprinting, Food Handler's test, and TB test.
Strong interpersonal and clear English communication skills.
Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, and Therap data systems.
Ability to utilize proper body mechanics during physical transfers.
