Recover-Care Heartland in Kansas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee staff assignments and supervise resident care in accordance with DON guidance.

The role requires a Kansas RN license, strong leadership, and English proficiency. You will ensure high-quality care, complete documentation, administer medications, and coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and daily rounds with a patient-centric approach.

Qualifications

• Educational background: RN program graduate with current Kansas licensure.
• Leadership skills: strong leadership and collaboration with staff.
• Language proficiency: reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Record-keeping forms and charts during admissions, transfers, discharges, and other events.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by physician.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges, including transportation arrangements.
• Provide professional services per facility policies (catheterization, tube feeding, wound care, etc.).
• Collaborate with consultants and implement changes under the DON.
• Investigate complaints and provide reports to the DON.
• Exchange nursing reports at shift start and end.
• Perform daily resident checks to ensure treatments are administered correctly.
• Keep DON informed about resident and staff status.

Earn up to $35 per hour

Position Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team by overseeing staff assignments and providing comprehensive supervision of resident care. Your responsibilities encompass ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care by adhering to established policies and procedures, as well as following the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON).

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must have:

• Educational Background: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a recognized Registered Nurse (RN) program with a current licensure in the state of Kansas.
• Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership abilities and a willingness to collaborate with both professional and nonprofessional personnel.
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical

• Complete all required Registered Nurse (RN) record-keeping forms and charts during a resident's admission, discharge, transfer, and other important events. Ensure that these records are appropriately filed in the resident's chart and/or forwarded to the relevant department.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Facilitate the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, including making necessary arrangements for transportation and packing.
• Administer professional services, including but not limited to catheterization, tube feeding, suction, wound care, specimen collection, and other medical procedures as outlined by the facility's policies and procedures.

Supervision

• Collaborate with the facility's consultants as required and implement recommended changes under the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON).
• Investigate and address complaints and grievances, providing necessary oral and written reports to the DON.
• Exchange nursing reports at the beginning and end of your shift duty hours.
• Conduct daily checks on all residents to ensure that prescribed treatments are administered correctly by nursing personnel/assistants and to assess their physical and emotional well-being.
• Keep the DON informed about the status of residents, staff, and related matters.
