Job summary

Mecklenburg Health and Rehabilitation in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of healthcare professionals. We offer flexible shifts, referral bonus options, and have a new wage package with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff.

Under supervision of the Director of Nursing, the RN will plan, coordinate, provide, and manage nursing care, health education, and services for residents, ensuring quality care and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care provided by CNAs and staff.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit and ensure appropriate staffing.
• Provide safe medication-related interventions and document orders.
• Perform nursing assessments and notify physicians of changes.
• Develop and implement plans of care based on assessments.
• Institute nursing interventions to stabilize residents and prevent complications.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.

Some responsibilities of the RN may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff are capable of providing appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and /or prevent complications.
