Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Palm Coast, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to support physicians in patient care and education within our hematology/oncology clinic.

The RN will assist with IV therapy, assess patient needs, exercise strong critical thinking, and ensure safety in emergencies. BLS is required, English fluency is essential, and prior oncology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Florida with IV therapy experience.
• Ability to assess patient needs and condition.
• Strong critical thinking; respond calmly in emergencies.
• BLS certification required at hire or within 30 days.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
• Oncology experience preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The RN assists physician in the care and teaching of patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Residence, with experience in IV therapy.
• The ability to assess patient needs and condition.
• Strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).
• Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is preferred but not required.
