We have 7 operating rooms for orthopedic, sports medicine, endocrinology, and ENT cases located in the HealthPlex tower at Norman Regional Hospital. Our nurses demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient new nurses to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area. Upon completion of orientation, nurses will be able to circulate orthopedic, sports medicine, endocrinology, and ENT cases as well as a wide variety of other service lines. Responsibilities : Job Summary

RN essential functions include, but are not limited to :

• Collaborating with other health professionals, assessing, analyzing assessment data,
• Establishing goals, planning care strategies, establishing priorities of care, implementing care,
• Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions, and
• Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.

In collaboration with the physician, you will provide total patient nursing care by assisting, leading, and/or directing care with a multi-disciplinary team of care providers.

This role cares for patients of all ages: infant to geriatric.

Qualifications :

• Education: Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Experience:

• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience are acceptable to meet these requirements.

Licensure / Certification :

• Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
• Current BLS certification must be maintained throughout employment.
