Job summary

Novant Health's Kernersville Medical Center in Kernersville, NC is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care for a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions.

You'll join a collaborative multidisciplinary team, provide rapid assessment, stabilization and safe, high-quality nursing care, with a 3pm–3am schedule and full-time benefits. RN licensure in NC and BSN preferred; one year of ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in NC required or eligible; license active preferred.
• BSN degree preferred; accreditation.
• One year ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate ED patient care.
• Provide timely nursing interventions for urgent and emergent conditions.

What We're Looking For:

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Provide timely nursing interventions for patients experiencing urgent and emergent conditions.
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to individualized plans of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, providers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to assess, treat and stabilize patients.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout their Emergency Department experience.
