The Children's Recovery Center of Oklahoma (CRC) in Norman, OK, seeks compassionate Registered Nurses to support teens recovering from mental health and substance use disorders. Under Nursing Director supervision, RNs perform assessments, implement treatment plans, document care, administer medications, and educate residents and families.

Position offers full-time 12-hour shifts with day or night options, non-exempt status, and competitive salaries tied to RN I–III levels ($70,000–$76,500).

Qualifications

• RN I requires ADN and Oklahoma RN license.
• RN II requires BSN or ADN with one year of nursing experience or two years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.
• RN III requires BSN and one year of experience or ASN with two years of experience or ASN with three years of LPN psychiatric nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical assessments and implement residents' treatment plans.
• Evaluate responses to treatment and document thoroughly.
• Administer medications as prescribed and provide health education to residents and families.
• Supervise daily duties of Mental Health Techs and LPNs to ensure safety of residents.
• Perform restraint assessments per ANA Standards of Practice.

Job Description

About the Position:

Children's Recovery Center is looking for compassionate nurses to help teenagers recover from mental health and substance addiction difficulties. Our registered nurses, under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, conduct physical assessments, implement residents' treatment plans, evaluate response to treatment, provide complete documentation, perform physical restraint assessments, administer medications as prescribed, and provide health care education to residents and families. The registered nurse supervises the daily duties of the Mental Health Techs and LPNs, ensuring that all residents are kept safe. Duties are performed in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, as well as the facility's and ODMHSAS's mission, values, policies, and professional standards.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Nurse I: Associate in nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

• Registered Nurse II: Bachelor’s in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) OR Associate in Nursing and one year of professional nursing experience OR Associate in Nursing and two years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.

• Registered Nurse III: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and possession of a valid, permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or an Associate Degree in Nursing and two years of professional nursing experience; or an Associate Degree in Nursing and three years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.

• Unrestricted Oklahoma RN licensure.

• Must be 21 years of age or older, due to DHS requirements.
