Newton Village, a Cassia community, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. You’ll deliver compassionate, high-quality care to residents, administer medications, and work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Ideal candidates have an Iowa RN license, CPR certification, and strong communication and organizational skills. We offer flexible scheduling with full-time or part-time options and a supportive work environment at 110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Iowa RN license and be in good standing.
• CPR certification required or willing to obtain.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a desire to be part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Displays a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Works to coordinate, oversee, and provide resident-related care.
• Administers medications and/or treatments in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
• Manages medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Documents care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
• Notifies Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow up action as necessary.

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Shifts Available:
Day: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm (Part-Time working every other Tuesday & Wednesday)
Evening: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm (Full-Time)
Night: 10:00pm to 6:00am (Part-Time)

Location: 110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA 50208

Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities:
