Newton Village, a Cassia community, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our caring team in Newton, IA. You’ll administer medications, monitor resident health, and collaborate with a dedicated staff to enhance lives of older adults.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Iowa LPN license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and monitor effectiveness.
• Document resident care using electronic charting software.
• Manage medications, supplies, and equipment in accordance with policies.
• Notify clinical manager, physicians, and families of significant changes.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Newton, you'll deliver compassionate, high-quality care to residents, administer medications, and work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the best possible outcomes. Position Type: Full-Time orPart-Time

Shifts Available:

• Day: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm (working every other Tuesday and Wednesday)
• Evening: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm (Full-Time)
• Night:10:00 pm to 6:00 am (Part-Time)

Location:110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA 50208

Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:

• Displaya courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Administermedications and/or treatmentin accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
• Managemedications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Documentresident care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
• NotifyClinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow-up action as necessary.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Licensed Practical Nurse Qualifications:

• Must have a current Iowa LPN license and be in good standing.
• CPR certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
