Job summary

Edgewood Surgical Center in New Castle, PA is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our surgery team. The role offers cross-training in Pre-Op, PACU, and Operating Room nursing, with cataract extractions and IOL implants two days a week.

You will provide safe, patient-centered nursing care across the surgical experience, perform pre-operative assessments, educational activities, and IV access, and deliver post-anesthesia care including pain management and discharge teaching.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Perioperative, PACU, or ambulatory surgery experience preferred; strong acute-care experience considered.
• Excellent assessment, communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and work across all areas of the surgical center.

Responsibilities

At this time, this facility performs cataract extractions with IOL implants two days a week.
