Summary
Accurately assesses residents' health status, educational, and environmental needs on admission and ongoing. Communicates significant changes to the interdisciplinary team (IDT). Documents assessments and develops dynamic care plans with input from physicians, residents, families, and other IDT members. Reviews and revises care plans as residents' needs change, and communicates updates to all relevant parties. Implements nursing interventions such as medication administration, treatments, and IV fluids safely and timely, documenting all actions accurately. Uses critical thinking to monitor residents' conditions, notifying physicians promptly using SBARR. Maintains professionalism during crises and ensures effective care delivery. Participates in QAPI processes for problem resolution and stays informed about residents' status to detect behavioral or health changes. Assists with resident care and completes a minimum of twelve hours of nursing education per year, staying current with best practices and Bethesda policies. May perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program leading to RN licensure
- Current RN license in the state of employment
- CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, push, and pull as required, with proper techniques and assistance when necessary
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity, including color distinction
- Ability to perform electronic and written documentation accurately
Pay range: $29.39 - $48.20 per hour
