Job summary

The Avenue at Macedonia is reopening and seeking compassionate RN Charge Nurse candidates to provide direct nursing care to residents and to supervise daily nursing activities in a post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, communicating with physicians, administering medications, maintaining hygiene and safety, and mentoring nursing assistants in a supportive, family-like environment.

• Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
• Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
• Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.)
• Perform skilled charting via the point click care charting system
• Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
• Maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
• Provide instant medical care in emergencies
• Supervise nursing assistants
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for residents and their families
• Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending monthly in-services
