Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. in Virginia Lexington seeks a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for a 7AM-3PM shift, delivering care to residents with complex diagnoses and collaborating with the nursing team.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, care plans, medication administration, delegation, and shift-to-shift communication. Qualifications include graduation from an approved nursing program and current RN licensure; CPR required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of Virginia.
• CPR Certification is required.

• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care.
• Establish realistic, measurable short- and long-term patient goals with interventions to minimize rehospitalizations and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure tasks and interventions are implemented.
• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts.

Responsibilities

Change the lives of our patients/residents and at the same time enjoy the rewards of fully knowing your patients/residents and their families as a Registered Nurse - RN. You will provide care for a variety of patients/residents with an array of complex diagnoses leading to enhanced knowledge and skills in many different areas.
