Job summary

Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time day or night shifts. Per diem options are available and nursing staff will work in a state-of-the-art treatment environment focused on patient independence after illness or injury.

Role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, adherence to standards, and ongoing professional growth through a career ladder and preceptor programs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of accredited Registered Nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
• Current state license as a Registered Nurse required.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• One (1) year recent experience preferred. Acute care setting preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred in LTACH and Texas hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients within assigned unit.
• Perform patient assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations to prevent complications and restore optimal functioning.
• Coordinate with Physicians and Therapists to ensure care plans are implemented.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within assigned unit. The role is also responsible for patient assessments, planning, supervising, interventions, and evaluations designed to prevent complications of physical disability, restore optimal functioning, and help the patient adapt to an altered life style.
