Ernest Health, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for a fulltime role at South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital in Brownsville, Texas.

The position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient rehabilitation care to patients recovering from strokes, trauma, and orthopedic injuries, with a strong emphasis on one-on-one therapy and bilingual support. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, collaborate with physicians and therapists, and uphold infection control and CPR

Qualifications

• Successful completion of accredited Registered Nursing program required.
• Current state license as a Registered Nurse required.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• One year recent experience preferred. Acute care setting preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred in LTACH and Texas hospitals.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within assigned unit. The role is also responsible for patient assessments, planning, supervising, interventions, and evaluations designed to prevent complications of physical disability, restore optimal functioning, and help the patient adapt to an altered life style.
