Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare seeks dedicated Registered Nurses to join as 1099 Independent Contractors, delivering in-home care to energy workers with compassionate, whole-person support. You’ll work independently, scheduling visits directly with patients and coordinating with case managers.

As an in-home nurse, you’ll assess, educate families, assist with ADLs, administer medications, document care in EMR, and advocate for patients while maintaining safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Willingness to travel to patients' homes.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
• Malpractice insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and provide holistic nursing care.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) with dignity and respect.
• Coordinate care with patients’ plan of care and approved hours.
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Communicate with Case Managers and physicians for a unified approach to care.
• Document care in the EMR system accurately.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• A valid and active RN License in the state of practice.


• A willingness to travel, bringing care directly to patients' homes.


• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.


• Current BLSCertification.


• Ability to pass a state & federal background check, ensuring trust and safety.


• Malpractice Insurance is required.


• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, coupled with a warm, empathetic approach.
