Job summary

Alpha Home a Waters Community in Indianapolis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, patient‑centered care in a long‑term care setting, ensuring safety, dignity, and high quality of life for residents. You will make rounds, administer medications, document responses, and support families while coordinating with physicians and nursing staff.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, demonstrate leadership, and promote best practices in clinical care, teamwork, and resident

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in nursing in a long term care environment.
• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and licensed in the state they work in.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds to observe and evaluate residents' physical, emotional and social needs.
• Prepare and administer medications as required and chart accordingly.
• Administer treatments and consult with physicians.
• Communicate with the director of nursing and staff.
• Provide nursing care to patients as assigned.
• Prepare for and assist physicians with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Reinforce health care instructions to patients and families.
• Participate with team in planning and evaluating nursing care.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
• Observe and report patients' vital signs, symptoms and general condition.
• Record observations on patient charts and maintain environment safety.
• Assist with unit management and may assume charge as assigned.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) you are responsible for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties and Responsbilities:

• Responsible for making rounds to observe and evaluate physical, emotional and social needs of residents

• Prepares and administers medications charts as required

• Administers treatments

• Consults with physicians

• Communicates with director of nursing and staff

• Provides nursing care to patients as assigned

• Prepares for and assists Physicians and others with diagnostic procedures and treatments.

• Reinforce supports and provides health care instructions to patients and their families.

• Participates with other team members in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities.

• Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.

• Observes and reports patients' vital signs, symptoms and general condition to the appropriate individual(s).

• Records on patient charts observation of patient’s responses to nursing care rendered.

• Maintains environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients.

• Assists with unit management and/or assume charge of unit as assigned.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:
