Job summary

Mountain City Rehab Center in Frostburg, Maryland is seeking an RN to provide hands-on care within a respected skilled nursing facility. You will lead clinical activities, coordinate with physicians, CNAs, and other health professionals to ensure residents receive dignified, high-quality care in a supportive team environment.

Ideal candidates are licensed in Maryland or multi-state, with CPR/BLS, and a willingness to train in geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in Maryland or Multistate.
• CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Prior experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus—but we’ll train the right candidate.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• A team-player mindset with a passion for patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assess and monitor residents’ health status and respond promptly to changes.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise and support CNAs and LPNs as needed.
• Document accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Follow all policies and procedures of the facility.
• Serve as charge nurses when assigned.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Attend required educational activities and meetings; document care per policy requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information.
• Demonstrate respect for resident rights and dignity.

About the Role

As an RN in our skilled nursing facility, you’ll be a cornerstone of our clinical team, providing hands‑on care, critical assessments, and clinical leadership. You'll collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure every resident receives the dignity and support they deserve.
