Job Description
- Assessment, Planning, Intervention and Education. Assesses each patient in accordance with established organizational and department standards & formulates an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the SCU multidisciplinary team.
- Patient Safety. Proactively assures safe practice, reports safety concerns and complies with all national and organizational patient safety and environment of care safety standards.
- Delivery of care and Evaluations. Delivers care in accordance with the nurse practice act and organizational policies and procedures
- Demonstrate Professionals role of the Registered Nurse. Represents the Unit on committees, work groups as requested.
- Medication Administration. Accountable for safe and standard of practice medication administration.
Qualifications
- Education – completion of a nursing program from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN Degree strongly preferred.
- Experience – Two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred, however will consider telemetry and step down.
- Licensure – Current State of Florida Registered Nurse
- Certifications – ACLS/BLS required
