Registered Nurse -

Up to $50/hour, based on years of experience.

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) in Branson, MO to administer patient care in accordance with a physician established care plan. This 1099 contract opportunity involves caring for patients at their residence with schedules ranging from weekly hours to full 12‑hour shifts. The role may include basic medical management and interaction with other care providers.

Schedule Needs

Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM 12‑hour shifts. The patient is open to fewer hours if needed. No weekend coverage is required.

Patient Preferences

Values independence and prefers to remain actively involved in daily routines. Prefers to manage own vital signs and medical equipment. Prefers caregivers who respect personal systems and home organization. Sensitive to loud noises; housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming may require accommodation. Strong preference for privacy and medication management control.

Work Environment Considerations

Smoking occurs inside the home. The patient has experienced previous health‑related challenges that can occasionally impact mood and frustration tolerance. Success requires patience, consistency, and respect for patient autonomy.

Responsibilities
  • Execute physician‑prescribed plans of care.
  • Complete compliant documentation of the care provided in the system of record.
  • Manage and administer prescribed medication, treatment, and therapies.
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care.
  • Perform various activities associated with daily living.
  • Monitor vitals and GI intake and output.
  • Assess skin integrity and administer wound care.
  • Monitor for changes in the patient’s condition such as weight loss/gain, self‑care abilities, and indicators of disease progression.
  • Communicate with family members, physicians, case managers, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of the patient.
  • Provide education and training to the patient, their family, and/or the Home Health Aide.
  • Work with patients one‑on‑one in their home to provide a comfortable environment.
  • Collaborate with and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants and Personal Care Attendants.
  • Perform other personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Current State or Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • TB test and physical examination.
  • Maintain required insurance.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients.
  • Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.
  • Must have dependable transportation and be willing to commute to the patient’s home.
  • Ability to provide basic medical management up to medically fragile end‑of‑life care.
  • Background check required.
