Job summary

Care Options for Kids is seeking an RN experienced with tracheostomies and/or ventilators to provide focused, one-on-one pediatric home health care. You will work in the child’s home, delivering skilled nursing with autonomy and clinical support as needed.

The role emphasizes continuity of care, safety, and family collaboration. A FL RN license and BLS CPR are required, with training available for trach/vent care if needed.

Qualifications

• Current, active Florida RN license
• Current BLS CPR card (in-person)
• G-tube, trach, vent experience or willingness to train
• TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QFT)
• Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
• DOEA Alzheimer's video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated, one-on-one pediatric home health nursing for high-acuity patients
• Follow care plans and physician orders to ensure safe, effective care
• Use clinical judgment to manage trach/vent needs in home settings
• Maintain safety standards and PPE protocols in every visit

Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Home Health: Trach/Vent

We are seeking nurses with experience caring for patients with tracheostomies and/or ventilators, preferably in a home care setting. Candidates with experience in trach care only are encouraged to apply.

At Care Options for Kids, pediatric home health nursing is intentionally different. Instead of juggling multiple patients, alarms, and constant interruptions, you provide dedicated, one-on-one care in the home, allowing you to focus fully on your patient and use your clinical judgment with confidence.

Requirements
