Job summary

Central States Pain Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for interventional pain management in West Des Moines. You will support patients through procedural and surgical care, coordinating with physicians and staff to ensure safe, effective treatment.

The role requires ADN and active RN licensure, with BLS; BSN and CPAN are preferred. 1+ year OR/PACU experience is desired. A strong emphasis on infection control and team collaboration is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • ADN required and RN licensed in good standing.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • CPAN certification preferred.
  • 1+ year OR and/or PACU nursing experience preferred.
  • Familiar with sterile/scrub procedures and surgical/procedural nursing practices.
  • Ability to operate a C-Arm fluoroscope under physician direction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete patient assessments, health histories, and vital signs before, during, and after treatment.
  • Recognize and report significant clinical changes or abnormal findings.
  • Develop and adjust individualized care plans with providers.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
  • Deliver care in line with standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, and families to support treatment goals.
  • Guide support staff and maintain efficient clinical workflows.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for scheduled cases.
  • Assist during procedures and monitor patients through recovery.
  • Evaluate procedural risks and communicate findings.
  • Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Pain Management - Monday-Thursday 7AM-4PM & Friday 8AM-1PM | $35-$42/hour | Full-Time

Central States Pain Clinic provides specialized interventional pain management services to patients throughout West Des Moines and Ankeny. What You'll Do

As a Registered Nurse, you'll support patients through various stages of procedural and surgical care, working closely with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate treatment, monitor recovery, and ensure safe, effective care.

  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
  • Deliver care in line with clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, and families to support treatment goals
  • Guide support staff and help maintain efficient clinical workflows
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for scheduled cases
  • Assist providers during procedures and monitor patients throughout recovery
  • Evaluate and communicate potential procedural risks
  • Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols
  • Operate a C-Arm fluoroscope under physician supervision when trained and assigned
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
  • Active RN license in good standing required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • BSN preferred
  • CPAN certification preferred
  • 1+ year of OR and/or PACU nursing experience preferred
  • Familiarity with sterile/scrub procedures and surgical or procedural nursing practices
  • Working knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and current nursing standards
  • Ability to operate a C-Arm fluoroscope under physician direction
