Job summary

West Volusia Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Deltona, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and support the nursing staff, ensure resident care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create personalized care plans for each resident. Your expertise and leadership will be vital in maintaining the highest standards of care.

The RN will mentor staff, coordinate assignments, respond to emergencies, and work with physicians, therapists, and social workers to uphold

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Florida RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years in long-term care or related setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee nursing staff, ensuring residents receive care according to care plans and state regulations.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing assignments based on staff skills and resident needs.
• Mentor and support nursing staff, including onboarding new hires and ongoing education.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and medical situations with appropriate interventions.
• Perform other duties to support resident care and facility operations.
