Join a mission-driven team serving our Nation's Veterans at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. We’re seeking a highly skilled and compassionate GI Lab RN to provide exceptional nursing care during gastrointestinal diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role is ideal for critical care nurses ready to bring their expertise into a specialty-focused, fast-paced VA environment.
Monitor patients during GI procedures (Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, PillCam, manometry).
Administer and monitor moderate sedation per protocol.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess and plan individualized care.
Perform clinical tasks: IV insertion, blood collection, catheter removal, 12-lead EKGs, ACLS interventions.
Maintain meticulous documentation in CPRS and follow all infection control procedures.
Current, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state.
BSN required; MSN preferred.
Certification in Moderate Sedation or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in GI Lab, ICU, or critical care; recent experience in GI procedures required.
Active AHA certifications: BLS & ACLS.
CCRN certification.
Experience with COVID-positive patients or PUIs.
Strong patient advocacy and attention to detail.
Three (3) professional references from at least two employers.
