Job summary

MGA Homecare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing care in private homes in Texas. The nurse will follow physician orders, document care, and collaborate with case managers and the Clinical Nurse Supervisor.

Responsibilities include performing treatments, assessments, and medication administration per the care plan, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has an active Texas RN license, current CPR, and the ability to assess and respond to

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved nursing program to perform duties as described.
  • Hold a valid RN license to practice in the state where services are provided.
  • Evidence of professional experience as required by state regulations.
  • TB test or chest x-ray result, and current CPR certification per agency policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing per the plan of treatment and nursing care plan.
  • Document clinical notes, physician orders, and nursing care activities.
  • Collaborate with MD, case managers, and health care team to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Identify changes in patient status and communicate with supervisor as required.
  • Adhere to aseptic technique and maintain compliance with state/federal regulations.

Registered Nurse (RN)Job OverviewTitleRegistered Nurse- Non-ExemptJob SummaryRegistered Nurse is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care and reports to Case Managers and Clinical Nurse Supervisor. In collaboration with the MGA personnel, RN will render skilled nursing care in accordance with the care developed for each individual patient and in accordance with Physician’s orders.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides skilled nursing as ordered on the plan of treatment and nursing care plan.Demonstrates and documents clinical skills.Each shift or visit reflects the provision of skilled nursing care rendered in accordance with physician’s ordersNew Problems, changes, and/or resolution of problems are identified and followed through as follows:Director/Supervisory notificationPhysical notification to obtain necessary orders for intervention(s) per stat regulationsDocumentation of same on clinical notes, supplemental physician orders and nursing care planObserve aseptic technique as requiredPerforms specific treatments and medication administration as per care planFunctions as a team member demonstrating collaboration with and responsibility to the patient, Physician, and health care team.Identifies issues of concern and demonstrates critical thinking skills.Displays correct skilled nursing care that reflects compliance with State, Federal regulations.Performs related work as assigned.Participation in the Agency’s other mandated activities as requested by the Agency’s Director such as In-Services, education and committee work related to patient care.Supports and executes the mission, ethics, and goals of the company effectivelyAll clinical documentation must be completed accurately and submitted timely per agency policy/guidelines.Represents themselves in a positive and professional manner in the company and community.Adheres to dress code with a clean and neat professional appearance.Reports on time and as scheduled in order to complete work within designated time.Adhere to all company policies and procedures outlines in the Employee Handbook, Employees Agreement, or communicated from executive teamRequirementsGraduation from an approved certification/program/accredited school/undergraduate/graduate school or post graduate education to reflect ability to perform job as described.Hold a valid/unencumbered verification/license to practice the job as described in the state where services are provided.Have professional experience as required per state regulations to perform the job as described.Successful completion of assigned screening/competency testing with a proficiency score of 80% or greater.Reliable transportation.Provide copy of current TB results or Chest x-ray.Provide copy of current CPR certification as per agency policy.Be flexible, organized and have the ability to exercise independent and sound judgment to perform the job duties/responsibilities.Physical RequirementsAbility to regularly, sit, stand, stop, bend, kneel, walk, balance, crouch, crawl, push, pull and reach with hands and arms and other physical activities as deemed necessary buy job duties.Vision and Hearing capabilities within normal limits, with or without aid.Ability to frequently lift and or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift or move 100 pounds or more if applicable.Ability to perform the anticipated level of physical assist required to provide safe client care.
