Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare seeks compassionate Registered Nurses to provide in-home care as 1099 independent contractors in Columbia, SC. You will deliver holistic nursing care, perform assessments, educate families, and coordinate with care teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license in the state, current BLS, and a willingness to travel. Malpractice insurance is required, and you will document care in the EMR while offering emotional support to patients

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to ensure personalized, comprehensive care for each patient.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) with dignity and respect.
• Coordinate your schedule with patients and their care plans, matching approved hours and preferences.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Communicate with Case Managers and collaborating physicians to ensure unified care.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR system.
• Offer emotional support to patients and family members and build trusting relationships.
