Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU & ER

Position Summary
As a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient conditions, developing care plans, administering medications, and ensuring patient safety. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Document patient care from admission through discharge, following the Nursing Process.
- Administer and document medications, demonstrating knowledge of dosages, drug interactions, and incompatibilities.
- Practice safety measures in all patient care activities.
- Provide excellent customer service and advocate for patient needs.
- Teach, delegate, and direct both professional and non-professional nursing staff.
- Stay updated on new developments and therapeutic measures in patient care.
- Participate in the development of nursing policies and procedures, as well as Quality Assurance activities.
- Respond to emergency situations, including Code Blue and Code Red activations.
- Protect patients' rights to privacy and confidentiality.
- Perform any related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of current ICU or ER experience.
- Ability to float to telemetry and stepdown units, as required.
- May be required to care for COVID+ patients.
- Travel nursing experience is strongly encouraged.
- Proficiency in reading Telemetry Strips.
- Successful completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia exam (Required).
- ACLS (American Heart Association) certification.
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
- MOAB certification.
- NIH certification.
- COVID Vaccination and booster shots are encouraged.
