Southwest Montana Veteran's Home is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the long-term care unit at our skilled nursing facility in Butte, Montana. We are committed to delivering high-quality resident care and supporting our nursing team.

This full-time role requires an active Montana RN license, a BSN, and BLS certification. You will administer medications, perform assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain excellent care standards.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Active Montana RN license required.
• BLS certification from the AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Registered Nurse (RN) care for residents.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and evaluate changes in condition to inform interventions and care planning.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician and in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards.
• Deliver skilled nursing care including wound care, IV therapy (as permitted by state), tube feedings, suctioning, catheter care, and other procedures.
• Supervise, delegate, and guide LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff in line with state nurse practice acts.
• Ensure care plans are developed, implemented, and updated with input from residents and the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the team to coordinate resident care.
• Accurately complete all documentation and clinical records timely and in line with regulatory standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Registered Nurse (RN) care for residents
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of residents and evaluate changes in condition to ensure appropriate interventions and care planning
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician and in accordance with facility policies and professional nursing standards
• Provide skilled nursing care including wound care, IV therapy (as permitted by state practice), tube feedings, suctioning, catheter care, and other complex nursing procedures
• Supervise, delegate, and provide clinical guidance to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel in accordance with state nurse practice acts
• Ensure care plans are developed, implemented, and updated based on resident assessments and interdisciplinary team input
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and effective resident care
• Accurately complete all required documentation, assessments, and clinical records in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory standards

Compensation And Schedule

• Pay range: $45.00/hour
• Schedule: Full-time
• Location: Butte, MT

Skills And Qualifications
