EXPERIENCED NURSES:

Are you seeking a pediatric Registered Nurse position that provides a solid foundation of nursing skills within a supportive, fast-paced environment? We have an opening in our 8 East Peds Medical Surgical Unit at Riley Hospital for Children. This is a place where you can positively impact your patients' lives, build strong relationships with colleagues, and develop your nursing practice with support.

This position is based within 8 East in the Simon Family Tower at Riley Children’s Hospital. The RN on this unit focuses on foundational nursing skills in a supportive setting, caring for patients with developmental pediatrics, orthopedics, and metabolic disorders.

8 East is a 24-bed pediatric med-surg unit with various primary specialties, including Developmental Peds (e.g., CP, Spina Bifida, Autism), Orthopedics (e.g., broken bones, spinal fusions, hip dysplasia repairs), and Endocrine (e.g., new onset diabetes). With diverse patient populations, there are ample opportunities to learn and grow daily, establishing a strong foundation in pediatric nursing.

Registered Nurses on 8 East pride themselves on compassion and providing the highest level of care. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of acute care experience; pediatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA
  • Additional certifications as required by the unit
