Qualifications

• 2 years of acute care experience preferred; exceptions possible.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Resource serves as a vital member of the Indiana University Health system float pool, embodying the mission, vision, and values of IU Health. Actively participates in clinical decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to advance patient care plans, achieve optimal outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency. Adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statement, ensuring professional integrity and high-quality care in every setting. Requires system-wide flexibility & clinical versatility to provide essential coverage across a wide range of inpatient settings - including medical-surgical, progressive care, critical care, emergency, and specialty units - based on real-time staffing needs and patient acuity. Qualifications

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) required for those newly hired or promoted into the position after October 1, 2025
• Requires an active Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN License.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. 2 years of experience preferred.
• Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute
