Job summary

Mesa-Verde-Post-Acute-Care-Center seeks a licensed RN to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Services in a long-term care setting. The RN will perform assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and ensure high standards of resident well‑being.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and collaboration with nursing staff and other professionals to maintain compliant care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license in good standing with the state board.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to develop nursing plans with critical thinking.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles and resident care.
• English language proficiency.
• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as prescribed by physician within scope of practice and standards.
• Utilize nursing process to maintain residents’ physical, emotional, and mental well‑being.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents per policy.
• Orient new residents and families as needed.
• Record accurate, timely documentation in medical records.
• Initiate and update plans of care; adjust as necessary.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Transcribe orders accurately from physicians; assist rounds.
• Supervise CNAs and assist in scheduling and care delivery.
• Participate in infection control and QA activities.
• Report abuse or unusual occurrences per regulations.
• Assist in emergencies including basic CPR when needed.
• Maintain narcotics control and inventory as required.
