Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital - Springfield seeks an Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver direct and indirect patient care and participate in discharge planning. You will collaborate with patients, families, and the care team, ensuring safe transitions and high-quality care.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN/ADN or Nursing Diploma with active RN licensure, CPR/BCLS, and preferably ACLS and CRRN. Six months of Medical/Surgical acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• CRRN preferred.
• Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation).
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to create personalized care plans.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient conditions to physicians, supervisors, and colleagues.
• Play a key role in discharge planning to support safe, successful transitions.
