AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, is hiring a registered nurse for the night shift in a regional float pool. The role includes assessments, care planning, medication administration, and supervision of staff in ICU and Emergency Department settings.

Qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), RN license, and at least 1 year of acute care experience. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates, with a $10/hour regional float differential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes.
• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft Windows based programs.
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills).
• 1 year of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.

Float To The ICU and Emergency Department

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Equipment use to stabilize and monitor patients (IV insertion, central lines, pulse ox, NG tubes, Foley, chest tubes, hemodynamics monitoring), including electronic medical record and automated dispensing medication system (pyxis).
