Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus Recovery Room/PACU is seeking an RN to monitor and care for patients in the immediate postoperative period. Role covers pediatric through adult patients in a high-volume PACU with 26 beds and 40-50 cases daily. Rotate shifts with holiday rotation and call requirements.

Join a system focused on high-quality, patient-centered care. Requirements include RN licensure in Ohio and BLS; ACLS/PALS within 6-12 months; CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications upon hire for PRN.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

• Assess hemodynamic stability and support
• Monitor sedation, neurological, neuromuscular, and sensory motor status
• Provision of adequate pain and comfort measures
• Assess Wound/incision integrity
• Overall patient assessment
• OR/ ED/Inpatient RNs, Pre/Post Phase 2 staff, Anesthesia staff, Surgeons, PT, Radiology, Pharmacy collaboration

Primary Patient Population:

Personnel RN will work with:

• OR/ ED/Inpatient RNs, Pre/Post Phase 2 staff, Anesthesia staff, Surgeons, PT, Radiology, Pharmacy

Number of OR Suites/Cases:

• 26 beds (Bay platform)
• 40-50 surgical cases daily
