Atlantic Heath System is seeking Per-Diem Registered Nurse for the Radiology - Special Procedures department at Overlook Medical Center to work varies shift, including weekends when needed.

Essential Function/Responsibilities:

  • RN will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for the critically ill medical and surgical patient population undergoing invasive procedures under the modalities of Fluoroscopy, CT Scan, Nuclear Medicine, PET Scan, MRI, and general xray.
  • RN will be able to assist with invasive procedures in the specialties of lnterventional Radiology, Endovascular Surgery and Neurosciences, utilizing aseptic techniques per AORN guidelines.
  • Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the lnterventional Radiology patient population served and their families.
  • Candidate will develop and maintain all required competencies related to the care and management of the lnterventional Radiology patient population.
  • Candidate must be able to function within an integrated Health Care System to provide responsible, professional critical care nursing care.
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

Minimum Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
  • BSN preferred

Minimum Experience:

  • At Least 2 Years of Acute Care Cardiac/Telemetry or Critical Care experience preferred

Licenses/Certification:

  • Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
  • BLS Certification Required
  • ACLS Certification Required
  • CCRN and/or RCIS Preferred
